I am requesting an iPad Pro and Apple magic keyboard to use with my students during counseling lessons and small groups. The laptop I have in school is very old and outdated. After experiencing virtual and hybrid learning for over a year, school counselors have an increased urgency for new tools especially in the area of technology. There are a growing number of apps and online platforms that have emerged that can be used in person and virtually to connect with students in need of social and emotional support. The iPad Pro I have requested has a big screen that all students can see during our group activities. We will utilize this iPad for activities, games, and videos during our small group time together. I will also use it during my classroom counseling lessons to facilitate activities with students. To top it off, it will also serve as the device I use to create materials for use with our students.
