I will be using these items to create an inclusive classroom library. Studies show that students are much more interested in learning when books feature characters who look like them. Students are also a lot more enthused when they can read things that interest them. I hope to create a classroom library and reading rug in our room that get my students excited to read. We need a classroom rug that is big enough to fit all 20 of my students. By allowing us a space to sit together, we will work on our classroom community and help my students feel more at home.
