Currently my classroom has a large rug I inherited 7 years ago when I began teaching Kindergarten at my school. At that time, the rug was already well used. At present it has stains, tears, frayed edges and more. This rug has seen its better days. A typical day in my classroom finds us spending about 30-40% of the day on our rug for morning time, writing time, reading aloud time and much more. The rug I chose will fit perfectly in my classroom, provide a bright and inviting carpet area that is extra-roomy, and will give each child their very own space to learn!
