Having a carpet helps with classroom management as every student is assigned a spot in the carpet to sit. Students learn that their designated spot is their space and that it is where they are safe. At the same time , they learn to respect their classmates personal space. A carpet prevents misbehavior from occurring as all students know that the expectation is to remain in their space during classroom meeting and read aloud time. This in turn creates an environment that is safe and condusive to learning. Every student is entitled to a space they can can call their own.

About my class
