No two classrooms are exactly alike and neither are the students who are facilitated in these classrooms. Therefore, differentiation is a must in trying to bring equity and success to all my students who I serve. The whisper phones I chose will serve not only my three students who needs speech therapy but also my students who are challenged with phonics. The books will serve as added motivation as the topics are not only centered around Math but also real-life situations. Because I have varying levels of numeracy and literacy in my classroom, the materials I use will reflect that and so the organizational chart will be helpful in keeping things organized and structured for my students. Guided Math, or is it Guided Reading or Writing? This will feature lots of trying of different strategy so the reusable items will save us paper and make it more motivating for my students. Even the students who work best when they adjust their seating will be catered to, with the wobbly cushions I selected. My students are learning to complete assignments in a timely manner and having that large timer in the classroom will enable all my students to pace themselves. I am excited to get my students immersed in reading and math and will be grateful for any assistance that will make my students succeed.
