Our student's may have cognitive disabilities, Autism, and/or are dealing with trauma and all need help with behaviors and self regulating in order to access and attend to learning. Our class comprises of middle school aged students grades 6-8 that require a smaller classroom setting to focus on their individual learning needs and receive direct individualized instruction. We focus on many needs such as; living/life & self help skills, sensory needs, and core academics. In order to maintain a sustainable program it requires access to supplies and resources that allow us to offer variety of engaging hands on learning opportunities. We create hands on activities and opportunities in the areas of cooking, social skills, and job skills. We also do different arts and crafts, group and individual science projects, and community engagement activities that teach safety and good citizenship. Our Students Rock!
