Young students need to understand number sense and understand how a hundreds chart works. In my class we do many activities with the hundreds chart. I would like to add other ways for my students to see the pattern of tens. These pop boards with 100 in rows of 10 will help young students count and see patterns. It will also help older students build arrays for multiplication. The games will provide practice to build fluency in math. Students will be engaged with manipulatives they are interested in. Using their interests to help learn will provide a successful learning environment.
