Flexible seating improves student focus and allows students to have autonomy over their learning and environment. I structure my classroom around a shared environment, urging my students to buy in and take ownership of their learning. I have noticed improved productivity when students are allowed to work in areas of the room not confined to their desk space. They are less disruptive and more on task in an environment of their choosing. It helps engage students and allows them to feel they have choice over their environment which leads to more interest in their work. The products I have chosen will help my students by giving them safe, effective choices for their learning environment.
