Although every single one of my students each have their own strengths and weaknesses... they all have one thing in common and that is eagerness. They are all so eager to learn and discover new things. Every single time I do a read aloud with them their eyes light up. Most of these students have not had a book read to them from home. I am absolutely positive that a listening center where they could have books read to them while I do small group would have a huge impact for them. If my students are able to listen to fluent reading they will have an opportunity at developing their reading fluency, expression, and comprehension skills.
