I teach Geography and Social Studies at a Title I High School. While my students are motivated and show up every day to learn, many of them cannot afford basic school necessities. In today's society, a tablet in class is counted as a basic necessity. So many in-class assignments are now online. Unfortunately, several of my students cannot afford tablets, and they cannot complete assignments online. I end up not doing the assignments at all, as I don't want any student to feel left out or left behind. This impacts everyone's learning experience in class. I would be deeply grateful to anyone who can fund tablets for 3 kids in my class who cannot afford them. It would make a tremendous difference to my students' learning experience. These tablets would stay in the classroom and be loaned to needy students, never to be taken home. Thank you for any help you can offer.
