The lesson is the art of pointillism and the students will be working together to make parts of an ocean. Pointillism is used to depict different textures with drawing and painting. Pointillism is art made from small dots added together to make one piece of artwork. This project will look like an ocean made of a billion dots. The project will be displayed at the school to show off different issues happening in the ocean through art work. This project crosses over to science to help the students learn that art can help with social issues in the world.
