A calculator does not go dark like an iPhone will. Calculators on desks in the classroom with graphs allows student to learn visually and manually. A student with the proper tools will succeed with much less resistance than one fighting battles without the proper tools. The better we can equip our students, the greater chance of competing in today's complex world. Graphing and trigonometry functions are an integral part of trig and pre-calculus. Instead of me having to graph a certain function on the board, the students will have the ability to complete the task at their fingertips.
