My students LOVE to read current events, but finding kid-friendly current event magazines and materials can be very time consuming and costly. These magazines will help my students not only with their writing skills, but will continue to feed the hunger they have to know about what is happening in the world. I feel it is extremely important to let kids make their own INFORMED decisions and choices, especially in such a small and rural town. Every week my students will choose one article from the magazine and summarize it while adding their opinion about the situation.

About my class
