My goal is to create lifelong learners and book lovers. I work with language learners in Washington, DC who need extra support to reach grade level in English. Now that I am in a new classroom, help me create a cool classroom library with high-interest books by authors of color and a cozy place for my students to promote independent reading. Your contributions to my project will make my classroom feel like a welcoming place to kick back and read. Now more than ever, after a year and a half of being apart, students need to feel connected to each other and to learning as a community. As Sun-Ra says, "Space is the place." So help make this "space" the place to read!
