Because of the wide range of abilities in my classroom, I am always looking for ways to make each project accessible to everyone. I would like to present to them a project for making vessels that begin with simple cylinders. Using the simple cylinder, students can choose to construct a simple mug, for example, or build a more complex sculpture. If a student is for some reason unable physically to complete this first step, they will not be able to get to the more important learning that comes from designing and assembling the final product. The use of an extruder will help even the playing field for these students.
