When this project occurs students will have spent around 5 weeks exploring motion in one and two dimensions. With the students being provided the opportunity to create their very own catapult, they will be able to apply their knowledge on this topic to a real life project. Students will be given time in class to design, build, test, and redesign their catapults to optimize its performance. Students will then collect data on their final launches in order to determine the trajectory of the projectile used (tennis balls more than likely), how long the object spent in the air, how far it had traveled, and how high it had traveled.

About my class
