As we navigate our return to in-person learning amid the pandemic, maintaining clean, healthy air is a top priority in my classroom. The district currently asks that we keep windows open to allow air to circulate if we do not have purifiers. However, this is becoming increasingly difficult as temperatures drop (it is approximately 50°-60° with wet fog through the first half of each day). Likewise, we are facing wildfire season and smoke will force our windows to close. With a reliable, effective HEPA air purifier, my students will be able to focus on their learning in a clean, safe, and warm environment. My classroom has very tall ceilings, hence the selection of a more heavy-duty purifier. In the future, I will fundraise for replacement filters. This device will serve hundreds of students over time.
