During the summer my room's floor was replaced as it has not been changed in over 80 years. During the move, the kiln we had broke and no longer works. My students would love to have a new kiln so they can create clay pieces that they can give to their families and keep for years. Having a kiln would benefit our students for many years to come. My students have seen the boxes of clay and have asked me if we can make ceramics. I have to tell them I do not have the resources to fire them so they will last. They are excited for hands on projects this year since the majority of them were virtual last year and did not have the necessary supplies to make an array of art.
