My project will help students practice their domestic and personal maintenance skills by starting a school laundry business! Doing laundry is an important essential skill that one can learn to be more independent. By having a laundry service in school, students will be able to help other departments and classes on campus. We currently have a washer, but our dryer is broken, which is what is stopping us from having our students reopen their laundry service. Sorting and separating clothing, practicing measurements, washing and drying loads of laundry, and delivering the items back to their customers will allow an opportunity for our students with various abilities to find ways to participate and build community.

About my class
