Kindergartners are very active and need the opportunity to wiggle and move as they learn. Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, and move as they please. Giving students students a choice as to how to sit also engages them and gives them ownership in the classroom. Movement and different seating choices will allow my students to be more alert and involved in their learning. They won't always feel confined to their traditional seating arrangements if flexible seating is widely available to them. Blood flow to the brain will also increase as students move around. Flexible seating promote movement in a non-disruptive manner.
