Some items on this list will help our students strengthen their fine motor skills, while others will help build literacy and mathematical skills. Whiteboards will be used by staff to provide students with written examples and for students to practice their own writing and drawing. The beans will be added to our sensory table where students can scoop, sift, and pour using tools. The magnetic letters will be used to match letters, spell short words, and match beginning letters to pictures. Our students learn best through interactive, hands-on activities. Work boxes are daily activities in our class. Students are assigned three to four tasks each and practice completing the tasks independently. Most of the items on the list, such as the matching eggs and letter puzzle, will be used as work box tasks. The sensory floor tiles will provide a fun break time activity for our students.
