It can be really challenging as a small child with a disability to try to regulate all of those big emotions and physical impulses they are feeling. With this active calming center, I can help my students to channel their emotions in a healthy and safe way. It can be almost impossible to focus on what is being taught when you are feeling so angry or upset and don't know how to use your words to express how you are feeling. Many of my sweet students struggle with this multiple times a day and it really begins to impede their learning. I would love to provide a way for my students to regulate their emotions and with this resource, I think my students with thrive socially and emotionally.
