After the pandemic, returning to school will be challenging for many students. In this project, you will be helping build a relaxing, social-emotional corner where each student can take a few minutes to relax and meditate. This corner will be very helpful when students are having a difficult time adjusting to being in a classroom full time. In this corner students will have a soft, easy to clean, bean bag chair where they can read a book or play while relaxing. They will have books, sensory toys, writing paper with stencils, and coloring paper. They will also have pencils, markers, and crayons. When students need a few minutes, they can go to this corner and forget about their problems while engaging in some relaxing activities and learning social-emotional skills.
