Students will improving their learning by using these materials and games in small groups either for remediation or enrichment. This year my classroom will have reading and math small group rotations to meet individual needs. When students are playing games the learning becomes fun and exciting. They are learning and don't even realize it. The items I have chosen help students to practice essential cognitive skills and enhance the parts of brain responsible for complex thought and memory formation. Working together in small groups also develops their cooperation skills, conversation skills, and helps students discover how to share and be fair.
