I have added a wide selection of books, some writing materials, and some tactile materials to my list for this project. These tools will assist my 4k and 5k students with pre-literacy skills and will hopefully get them to love learning and reading! The writing journal will be great for a writing center. The play-dough can be used during free choice time or during our literacy practice, to help build letters. Finally, the books have been chosen to help engage my students in reading and to help them expand their understanding of the alphabet. I do not intend to send these materials home, however if it becomes necessary for us to return to virtual learning, then I can use these materials in my virtual lessons for students. I believe this first project will really help give us a good start to our school year.
