I have 14 very active and curious kindergarten students in my classroom. Some of my students struggle to sit and learn in traditional seating options or to sit with a calm body during our carpet learning time. With this variety of flexible seating options, my students can find the perfect learning spot that works for them. With more options on where they can learn and opportunities for their bodies to be more comfortable while learning, my students have a greater chance of experiencing success throughout their school year. These flexible seating options will be utilized at student table spots, my small group learning area, and on our carpet area when all students are completing whole group learning on our carpet.
