First, thank-you for previewing my project and for your consideration in funding. I chose manipulatives and resources that would allow my students to 'visual' current math concepts being taught in the classroom. The addition, subtraction, multiplication and division workbooks have a layout and color code that is helpful to students who have difficulty aligning numbers. The unifix cubes will be helpful for my students to visualize and interact with equal groups in multiplication. The array laminated boards will help them create arrays, understand rows and columns, as well as repeated addition. Dry erase materials are ecofriendly with far less paper waste; hands on is more engaging to students helping them to retain more through interaction with the concepts. I teach mostly in small groups; manipulatives, as opposed to paper and pencil, add to the fun!
