Children will be given clay and asked to make creatures, objects, sculptures and functional home objects. In addition to creativity the children will spend science time discussing what happens when we add heat to things. In addition to science, these lessons will incorporate one to one correspondence counting in mathematics. Children will be asked to make specific sets of shapes. In addition to this, I want the children to understand the value of their work by displaying it prominently in the school and to provide lighting to post photos professional photos online. We will also discuss the history of pottery across the world and it’s evolution.
