Our STEM club (Bio Bosses) has been working on creating an outdoor classroom. This adventure started in 2018 with students fundraising and bringing awareness to the importance of a community garden/ outdoor learning center. With our hard work, we were able to get the approval and garden boxes for the project. We started with using recycled wood to create planter boxes and ended up with several boxes. With hard work and determination, we can add a garden oasis to our urban jungle. In our current phase, we're working on getting soil, plants/seeds, and seating for the learning center. We're hoping to grow fruits and vegetables that will benefit the community and flowers to improve the environment.
