My students are from a retirement community, in which many families have moved in with grandma and grandpa. Many of the children are being raised solely by grandparents. They are growing as readers and need every possible asset to help them gain knowledge as learners. Some do not receive the support at home to be the best they can be. Our school is a public school with kindergarten through second grade attending and we have about 150 students.
