Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times students can choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Currently the only locations available are a rectangular table, a circular table, and a rug. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I would like for my students to to be more engaged and to feel comfortable in the classroom. I feel like by adding more flexible seating to the class, more students will have the opportunity to move around the class and find what works best for them in a classroom setting.
