By utilizing more hands-on lessons to teach basic math skills, students will be more actively engaged in their learning. Finding math activities and extensions that increase rigor without increasing the complexity of the math standards is very hard. However, many teachers have done this and published these Ready-To-Use lessons on TeachersPayTeachers! The 2nd grade students need more confidence in learning because they are the ones most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers have adapted to this new era of teaching and are sharing what works! These lessons are available online to other teachers and are ready-to-use for extending and deepening students mathematical understanding.
