Something my kiddos really enjoy doing is reading, they can’t get enough of a good book! I have set up guided reading rotations in my ELA curriculum, and my students live reading new books every quarter. This gives them a chance to step out of their norms and try a story that may change their perspective. I especially love thought-provoking stories that make students step back and think about their everyday life. I’ve chosen these specific books to do just that - make them think outside the box and open their interest levels.
