These books will be used to augment the small, aging collection aleady in the library. There aren't enough of the books children gravitate to for pleasure reading. The budget that I am given to purchase new books is very, very small and barely keeps up with replacing well-loved books that have been lost or taken out of circulation due to damage. The new books I have asked for have the titles and colors that attract and hold the imagination of the students. This will help grow avid readers in the school and within the community.
