The sensory materials will not only stimulate my students thought processes but will also encourage them to try to experiment and become innovative through play therapy. In addition, these materials will help provide calming strategies and techniques for my students. This will provide a safe avenue for them to redirect their emotions and behaviors. The tools we have selected can be used across a variety of content areas and expose our students to integrated and differentiated instructional approaches. My hope is that these tools will promote more conversation and dialogue.
