My students deserve to have their experience and heritage honored. They are hungry for material that is relevant to their lives. Please help me to give the gift of culturally relevant literature to my hard working students. Books like these can mean the difference between a student learning to enjoy reading, feeling as if they are respected in the classroom, and creating lifelong learners. This is their first time in the classroom since March 2020. Please consider providing literature that will motivate them and show them that they are valued.
