These reading materials will engage my students in fiction and nonfiction literature. The nonfiction will help expand their vocabulary to become better readers. It will also assist them in researching various science topics. My classroom library will more inviting and a place to share their love of reading. The fiction literature with be used to study characters, parts of a story and setting that ties in to the curriculum. The students then write their own stories based on the characters from their new books. Then they will present their stories to their class.
