A set of lasers and planar mirrors will first be used for a lesson on reflection; students will see that reflection in math is the same as reflection in real-life; just instead of a horizontal or vertical line, we have a planar mirror! Next, we'll use the light show to study parallel and perpendicular lines. Students will learn that if they don't orient the mirror perpendicular to the laser beam, light won't be reflected directly back. Later, we'll use the mirrors to study angle relationships; students will be asked to set up the mirrors to hit targets around the classroom.
