We have spent FAR to much time on our Chromebooks. I really want my students to read from a real book. Lord of the Flies is both appropriate and engaging for middle school students. This paperback edition is relatively cheap, and will help the students with reading comprehension. As a class, we shared an electronic version, which was adequate. However, we had system crashes, broken Chromebooks, lost chargers, and even power outages during an ice storm. You really can't go wrong with a good paperback book that is tangible and relatable.
