I am requesting lap desks, floor seats and balance ball seats to allow my students to learn and space out in our classroom and meet the needs of all students. For many students sitting at a desk for a whole day and working in one space does not fit their learning styles. Many students need to be closer to something as they work to see better, others may need a quieter part of the room. Having these lap desks, floor chairs, and yoga balls will allow students to have freedom in the class to find spaces that work best for them to learn. This will especially help students with ADHD who need to move to help them concentrate. Also as we are in the midst of COVID and students need to be spaced apart this will allow more flexibility and safety for students in the classroom.
