About my class

My request is to help parents and students feel fully included in the educational decision making process when determining individual specialized instruction needs. I will be able to project the paperwork for all committee members to see so they can ask questions, and feel that they are understanding the ARD process and the elements that are involved. During the ARD committee meetings, I am including information regarding our decisions into a template on the computer. Nobody in the meeting can see what I'm working with or why I am asking the questions I am. The projector would help me to provide transparency to the entire committee, especially parents. Parents and students come to the ARD meetings with very little understanding of what is involved in Special Education decision making. To be able to share with them in real time, would give them better access to the information for them to ask questions, contribute to the discussions and feel more a part of the team.
