I've moved into a new classroom which has wonderful windows and bulletin board space, but only one fairly old blackboard. Students learn best when they can easily share ideas and whiteboards are excellent for this! We'd like 2 rolling whiteboards so we can move learning around the class. Whiteboards are also excellent because students with math anxiety can easily erase and adjust their thinking. There's a whole community of teachers working with Vertical (to get them up and standing) Non-Permanent (easy to erase) Surfaces (VNPS) and I'd love to bring that to my new students!
