Last school year, when faced with the reality that I would be teaching the visual arts online, I had to reimagine my curriculum. In stead of teaching specific mediums and techniques, we focused on the design process and building problem solving skills. Each unit, my students were given a prompt and the choice to use any materials they had access to at home and as a result, I had an increasing number of students show an interest in producing digital artwork, which had never been an option in the past. Now that we're back in the classroom, I'm hoping to continue to foster this interest with the tablets that will be funded through this project.
