Sometimes students need wiggle room or an opportunity to learn in a different space. Our classroom have flexible seatings such as small recliner chairs, multi-sensory cushions, Yoga balls seats, and lap desks. We need a carpet to complete our flexible seating arrangement, to ensure students do not sit directly on the floor, and have adequate spacing for COVID safety. Giving students seating options in the learning environment helps to motivate them, as well as build community in the classroom. A large carpet provides an option for them to learn comfortably.
