The materials selected will help enrich the learning environment in my classroom. It will give students the opportunity to learn at their skill level and readiness. I will use the material to teach large group and small group sessions to improve my students’ skills in reading, writing and math. The writing material will help them write legibly moving beyond phonetic spelling toward conventional spelling. The phonics and sight words books will help them build their vocabulary and read simple sentences. The adding and subtraction workbooks will help them add and subtract money and objects that will help them in their everyday lives. The material will allow them to collaborate with their peers or to work individually to achieve the academic, social and emotional goals.
