All of my students are familiar with modern technology and have "screen time" every day. The use iPad, Chromebooks, and other devices both at school and home. However, when most kids are given actual materials to build something they seem to lack the same enthusiasm. My goal with the "Makerspace" project is to open their minds to hands on learning and technology with Legos. They will be able to express themselves and use their imagination with guided lesson cards. The cards will prompt them to build/create something out of minimal materials and direction.
