Learning an instrument is very fulfilling and satisfying for students - it's something that makes them proud! They want everyone to hear their music. Ukuleles are amazing instruments for elementary students to learn a variety of skills. Students build on skills they learned at lower levels and learn more about music notation, what chords are and how to play them, how string instruments make sound, tuning, and learn the responsibility that comes with playing instruments. The best thing about ukuleles is - they're affordable! This is an instrument that most families can afford to buy for their student to play at home in the summer or even after they leave elementary school. It can also be a way for parents to connect with their child's learning - ukulele is fun for adults to learn too!
