In my class, every student is assigned an i-pad. Our district adopted a wonderful educational computer program called i-Ready. i-Ready gives students individualized instruction in reading and math based on their individual needs. Students take a placement test and is assigned an individual learning path based on how well they answer the questions. Everyday, students work on their i-Ready learning paths so they will eventually perform on their grade level or above. Since i-Ready provides instruction through sound, each student needs a pair of headsets so they will not be distracted from other students on i-Ready lessons as well as other activities going on in the classroom.
