These books will help students learn the Chinese language in context. They could also learn the culture through different stories. Since the students are learning Chinese as a foreign language, they will benefit from all the stories and context and put what they have learned into a bigger picture. The story books help make the learning more interesting and engaging, and the writing pads enhance their learning beyond classrooms. The students are able to write and read after practicing the Chinese character writing. They can practice at home and continue learning at their own pace. I hope with the story books, students can role play and present as a group. My students will showcase their learning at our Chinese New Year Celebration every year. Besides listening and speaking Chinese, students will be able to write the characters and read Chinese on their own.
