These materials will help to create communication boards which are essential to nonverbal students who are beginning to acquire language. The games are another great resource to use alongside our communication boards to promote language and give the students an incentive for using the board to express themselves. With enough practice through play and learning how to piece together sentences, our nonverbal students can begin to finally use speech to communicate with peers, family members, and their teachers about what interests them. These tools and games are adaptive for several of the grade levels that I work with and can apply to students struggling with speech and language difficulties.
